Sandra Brown, Northumberland County Treasurer, would like to remind all county dog owners that 2024 dog licenses are available. Dog Licenses can be purchased online. Licenses can also still be purchased at our office or through the mail. Annual licenses are valid January 1 to December 31. State law requires all dogs over 3 months of age to be licensed. Owners of unlicensed dogs are subject to fines not less than $50.00 and not to exceed $300.00.

Regular License Fees:
Male: $8.70
Female: $8.70

 

Senior Citizen / Person with Disability License Fee:
Male: $6.70
Female: $6.70

 

 Lifetime License Fee:
Male: $52.70
Female: $52.70

 

 Senior Citizen / Person with Disability Lifetime License Fee
Male: $36.70
Female: $36.70

 

Annual dog licenses can be purchased online. There is a convenience fee of $2.00 or 3% (whichever is greater) that is charged by the credit card processor. Lifetime licenses must be purchased in the treasurer’s office if the dog is tattooed or micro chipped.
