The Northumberland County Jail will be holding open, drop in, job interviews November 1, 2021 through November 30, 2021, excluding weekends and holidays, at the jail administrative building located on the Northumberland County South Campus, 720 Northumberland County Drive, Coal Township, PA 17866. The interviews will be conducted between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. For the position of correctional officer.
Interested applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of employment appointment. Have a clear criminal record and pass a drug screen. Interested persons can complete an application on site and will need to have a valid state or federal identification at the time of interview. Applicants will be fingerprinted and urine drug screened at the time of application. Candidates can also apply via the Northumberland County web page. Correctional Officers work an 8 hour rotating schedule with shift differential and holiday premium pay with earned vacation and sick leave. The jail also has part-time positions available.
