Richard J. Shoch – Commissioner
Commissioner Richard Shoch is a native of Sunbury, PA, and currently lives there with his wife, Paula, and their four children, Natalie (Age 19), Lily (Age 17), Eric (Age 15) and Brady (age 11).
He is a 1985 graduate of Shikellamy High School, a 1989 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, and a 1995 graduate of the Widener School of Law, DE.
Prior to moving back to Northumberland County in 2002, he was employed as an in-house attorney in the investment management industry and was a Vice President of Morgan Stanley, a global asset management company based in Manhattan, NY. He is currently President of The Shoch Law Office, P.C. in Sunbury, PA, a general practice with a focus on business law, municipal law, estate planning and special needs planning.
He was first elected County Commissioner in 2011. He was re-elected as County Commissioner in 2015 and is currently the Chairman of the Northumberland County Commissioners.
